Military vets with Operation Free stop Friday in South Bend

Military veterans — including two Indiana natives — are traveling the country on a 21-state bus tour talking to residents and community leaders about the dangers of climate change and its threat to national security.

The Operation Free bus will stop at 11:30 a.m. Friday (Oct. 16) at the Vietnam Veterans War Memorial at Howard Park, East Jefferson at South St. Louis boulevards.

Operation Free, the tour sponsor, is a coalition of veterans and national security groups working to also raise awareness of the importance of a clean energy economy not tied to fossil fuels.
