Veterans Address National Security Threats from Climate Change
Operation Free Veterans for American Power Bus Tour rolled into Tallahassee Friday, October 23rd.

Veteran members of Operation Free rolled into Tallahassee to speak out about America’s reliance on fossil fuels.

The veterans on the bus tour say while fighting the war overseas they’ve seen how our current energy policy poses a direct threat for our national security.

Nick Breeze, an Iraq veteran and Tallahassee native says while in Iraq he saw how dependent America is on foreign oil and how our freedom is at risk. “We may never be completely independent from foreign oil, but we can definitely get closer and take away some of the leverage that other oil producing countries have on America,” said Breeze.

Vets say they hope this tour will enlighten Americans and encourage climate and energy policies that cut carbon pollution.

The 21 state bus tour started earlier this month and is wrapping up this weekend.
