Today, the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee took action on the Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act, passing it out of committee and setting the stage for real action on climate change. This progress comes despite a number of the committee members going AWOL from their duties as Senators and refusing to even show up to discuss the legislation.
Today’s action is a huge step towards ensuring America can take control of our energy future, end our vulnerability to foreign energy, and make the world a safer place for our men and women in uniform.
