On what turned out to be a beautiful day in Ft. Collins, Colorado the Operation Free veterans had a great event on the CSU campus on Thursday April 8. Iraq war veterans and CSU graduate student Ben Schrader was joined by fellow Iraq war veteran and Operation Free member Raf Noboa to share with CSU the ways that climate change threatens national security. Although it was tough to compete with the first beautiful day of spring, several active community members turned out for the event, as well as the district representative for Senator Michael Benett. After a lively discussion of how climate change poses a threat to our national security, the community members in attendance were eager to know how they could help. We are looking forward to further developing the presence of our Operation Free veterans in the Ft. Collins area.
